Paris with Amanda Thebe
Dates to be announced in February 2025 with trip anticipated in the Fall
On your marks, get set and get ready to run in Paris with our small group and thousands of others during La Parisienne, Europe's largest running race just for women. If you're not a runner, please don't stop reading - we've got you!
Amanda Thebe, who is cohosting this trip will be putting together a special training plan just for our group. This programme will help us get ready for our choice of 7km walk, run or 10km run and help keep us accountable so that we will be raring to go on race day. And if that isn't enough to get you running, wait 'til you hear about the route: the race starts at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and will take us past many of the City of Light's famous monuments. You will feel like you're running in a postcard, but surrounded by thousands of women and in a festive atmosphere.
After the race, we'll have the rest of the week to celebrate our accomplishments with group activities planned for every day that we're together. We will also factor in some time for you to spend at your leisure (or to hang out with the group - it's up to you), making this trip as suited to the first-time visitor as it is to the Paris habituée.
Highlights:
-
the La Parisienne race and training for it with Amanda Thebe and the rest of our group
-
A Champagne masterclass with a wine professional who exclusively uses champagnes made by women. You'll learn everything you wanted to know about Champagne, taste 4-5 different Champagnes and enjoy a generous selection of French delicacies
-
A luxurious afternoon tea in a historic hotel, where we can be as chic as chic can be. We can expect a three-tiered selection of treats: mini-sandwiches on the bottom, still-warm scones in the middle and three fanciful creations by one of Paris’ top pastry chefs.
-
A bike ride to discover the back streets and charming neighbourhoods of Paris.
-
A one hour sunset cruise along the most beautiful avenue in Paris: the Seine. We’ll sail past the facades of many of Paris’s most historic buildings all the way to the great iron lady, the Eiffel Tower.
-
A guided visit to the best flea market in Paris.
-
A food tour and tasting lunch with a fabulous Parisienne in her beautiful apartment. We'll visit the most famous market streets in Paris, selecting tasty delicacies, which we will then enjoy for lunch with Champagne and wine.

The ability to choose to spend your free time exploring the city as you wish - or to join the group on spontaneous walking tours around various Parisian neighbourhoods
